Sundar C is back to the movie Unlike the first part, Thalainagaram 2 entirely rides on action and violence. We learn about the lives of three strong criminals Nanchunda, Maaran, and Vamsi, and how they managed to advance beyond the ranks over the opening 20 minutes of the movie. Then, Right (Sundar C), a kind-hearted yet fearless man who was formerly a feared thug, is introduced to us. He has made a concerted effort to avoid situations that would bring out his wicked demeanor. However, when one of his close associates, Manik Bhai (Thambi Ramaiah), becomes involved in a black money case, things start to shift.
Right protects Manik and incurs the wrath of Maaran, a kingpin engaged in all criminal trades, in the process. Right is seen as a potential threat by the other two gangsters, who already control the city, and they resolve to get rid of him. Parallel to this, Sitara (Palak Lalwani), a famous person and Vamsi’s partner, falls in love with Right as she learns more about him.
